AI Chat & The Architect Agent
The Architect Agent is MoLOS's built-in AI assistant—a powerful, context-aware agent that can interact with all your modules through natural language conversation. Instead of navigating through menus and forms, you can simply tell the Architect what you need, and it will handle the rest.
Overview
Location: /ai (or navigate via AI → Dashboard)
The Architect Agent leverages the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide seamless integration with every MoLOS module. This means it can:
- Create, update, and delete tasks
- Log health entries and track metrics
- Manage financial records and budgets
- Plan meals and track nutrition
- Create and organize markdown pages
- Set and monitor goals
- And much more—all through conversation

Capabilities
The Architect Agent has access to all MoLOS modules through MCP tools:
Task Management
You: "Create a high priority task to review the quarterly report by Friday"
Architect: "Done! I've created a new task:
• Title: Review quarterly report
• Priority: High
• Due: Friday, March 25, 2026
• Status: Todo
Would you like me to add any subtasks or reminders?"
Health Tracking
You: "Log my weight as 165 lbs and note I did 30 minutes of cardio"
Architect: "Recorded! Here's what I logged:
• Weight: 165 lbs
• Exercise: Cardio - 30 minutes
• Date: Today
Your weight trend is down 2 lbs from last week. Great progress!"
Meal Planning
You: "Plan a healthy dinner for tonight with chicken and vegetables"
Architect: "Here's a suggestion for tonight's dinner:
**Grilled Chicken with Roasted Vegetables**
• Prep time: 15 minutes
• Cook time: 25 minutes
• Calories: ~450
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken breasts
- Mixed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, zucchini)
- Olive oil, garlic, herbs
Would you like me to add this to your meal plan or save the recipe?"
Financial Management
You: "Record a $50 expense for dinner with friends under entertainment"
Architect: "Logged your expense:
• Amount: $50.00
• Category: Entertainment
• Description: Dinner with friends
• Date: Today
Your entertainment budget for this month is now at $120 of $200 allocated."
Goals & Progress
You: "How am I doing on my goal to read 24 books this year?"
Architect: "Let me check your reading goal...
📚 **Read 24 Books This Year**
Progress: 6 of 24 books (25%)
Time elapsed: ~25% of the year
You're on track! At your current pace of about 2 books per month, you'll reach your goal.
Recent books logged:
1. "Atomic Habits" - Completed Mar 15
2. "Deep Work" - Completed Mar 1
3. "The Psychology of Money" - Completed Feb 18
Would you like to log a new book or set up reading reminders?"
Documentation & Notes
You: "Create a quick note about the meeting we had today"
Architect: "I'll create a quick note for you. What would you like me to include?
Or I can create a blank note and you can fill in the details. Just let me know!"
Example Conversations
Daily Planning
You: "What do I have on my plate today?"
Architect: "Good morning! Here's your day at a glance:
📋 **Today's Tasks** (3 items)
1. Review quarterly report (High priority)
2. Call with marketing team at 2 PM
3. Submit expense report
🎯 **Goals in Progress**
• Read 24 books - 25% complete
• Run 500 miles this year - 18% complete
💡 **Suggestions**
• You haven't logged health data today
• Meal plan shows "TBD" for dinner
What would you like to focus on first?"
Complex Requests
You: "Create a project for my home renovation and add tasks for painting the living room, fixing the kitchen faucet, and getting quotes for new flooring"
Architect: "I've set up your home renovation project:
📁 **Project: Home Renovation**
Tasks created:
1. ☐ Paint living room
2. ☐ Fix kitchen faucet
3. ☐ Get quotes for new flooring
I've also created an area called "Home" to organize this and future home-related projects. Would you like me to add due dates or priorities to any of these tasks?"
Tips for Effective Use
Be Natural
The Architect understands natural, conversational language. You don't need to use specific commands or syntax.
✅ "Add a task to buy milk tomorrow" ✅ "Remind me to call mom this weekend" ✅ "Show me how much I spent on dining out last month"
❌ "/create-task --title='buy milk' --due='tomorrow'"
Provide Context
When making requests, include relevant details:
You: "Create a task to prepare for my presentation"
Architect: "I'll create that task. Would you like to add:
• A due date?
• Any subtasks (slides, rehearse, handouts)?
• Priority level?
Or I can create a simple task and you can add details later."
Use Follow-up Questions
The Architect remembers context within a conversation:
You: "Show me my high priority tasks"
Architect: [Shows list of 4 high priority tasks]
You: "Mark the first one as complete"
Architect: "Done! 'Review quarterly report' is now marked as complete. Would you like me to show you the remaining high priority tasks?"
Ask for Explanations
You: "What MCP tools do you have access to?"
Architect: "I have access to tools across all MoLOS modules:
**Tasks Module** (15 tools)
- Create, update, delete tasks
- Manage projects and areas
- Track dependencies
- Add comments
**Health Module** (8 tools)
- Log health entries
- Track metrics over time
- Set health goals
[... and more]
Would you like details on any specific module's capabilities?"
