Dashboard Overview

The MoLOS Dashboard is your command center—a personalized home page that provides quick access to all your modules, recent activity, and powerful search capabilities. It's designed to give you an at-a-glance view of your life organization while making navigation intuitive and efficient.

The Dashboard serves as the primary entry point to MoLOS, offering:

  • Personalized Greeting - A dynamic welcome message that adapts to time of day and user context
  • Universal Search - Quick access to any feature, task, or content via keyboard shortcut
  • Active Modules Grid - Visual overview of all enabled modules and their current state
  • Quick Navigation - One-click access to any module or feature

Personalized Greeting

When you first land on the Dashboard, you're greeted with a personalized message that considers:

  • Time of Day - "Good morning," "Good afternoon," or "Good evening"
  • User Name - Your configured display name
  • Context - Relevant information based on your recent activity

This creates a welcoming, human-centered experience that makes MoLOS feel like your personal assistant rather than just another application.

Customization

You can customize your display name and other personalization settings in your Profile Settings (accessible via the user menu in the top-right corner).

The search bar at the top of the Dashboard is your gateway to everything in MoLOS. It's designed for speed and efficiency.

Keyboard Shortcut

Press Cmd+K (macOS) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to instantly focus the search bar from anywhere in the application.

Search Tips

Pro Search Tips
  • Be specific: "High priority tasks this week" yields better results than just "tasks"
  • Use natural language: The search understands phrases like "show me meals from yesterday"
  • Combine filters: Search within specific modules by including module names

Active Modules Grid

The modules grid displays all your enabled modules as interactive cards, showing:

  • Module Icon - Visual identifier for quick recognition
  • Module Name - Clear labeling (Tasks, Health, Finance, etc.)
  • Quick Stats - At-a-glance metrics relevant to each module
  • Status Indicator - Visual cues for pending items or attention needed

Module Card Actions

Each module card supports:

  • Click - Navigate to the module's main page
  • Hover - Preview recent activity or quick actions

Understanding Module States

From the Dashboard, you can also access:

  • Create New - Quickly create tasks, notes, or entries
  • Recent Items - Jump back to recently viewed or edited content
  • Favorites - Pin frequently accessed items for quick retrieval

Dashboard Customization

Dashboard customization features, including widget arrangement and custom layouts, are planned for a future release.

Currently, the Dashboard automatically adapts to show:

  • Modules you have enabled
  • Recent activity relevant to your usage patterns
  • Time-sensitive items (due tasks, upcoming goals, etc.)

Mobile Experience

On mobile devices, the Dashboard is optimized for:

  • Touch-friendly cards and buttons
  • Condensed information display
  • Swipe gestures for navigation
  • Pull-to-refresh for data updates
